01
Divide the property into handover zones
List the floors, rooms, circulation areas, back-of-house spaces and external interfaces included in the request. Mark which zones are released, which remain active workfronts and the sequence in which the employer needs them presented for inspection.
A crew plan is more reliable when access, completed trades and target handover dates are stated for each zone rather than for the building as a whole.
- Zone and floor reference
- Release and inspection date
- Working-hours restriction
- Responsible site contact
02
Separate cleaning stages and exclusions
Define rough cleaning, detailed cleaning, final presentation and post-inspection touch-up as separate stages where applicable. Identify dust removal, adhesive or label removal, internal glazing, fixtures, sanitary areas and floor finishing in the written scope.
Separate bulk construction debris, hazardous residue, high-access glazing, façade work, pest control and specialist surface restoration when they require another contractor, permit or method.
03
Identify surfaces, equipment and products
Provide the actual finishes and any manufacturer care requirements for stone, tile, wood, metal, glass, sanitaryware and painted surfaces. Confirm who supplies vacuums, scrubbers, ladders, access equipment, consumables and approved cleaning products.
A test area and employer approval may be appropriate where residue removal or a product could affect a finished surface.
04
Coordinate access and site safety
State induction, access badge, PPE, permit and restricted-area requirements. Note live services, incomplete edges, overhead activity, temporary power, poor lighting or simultaneous trade work that affects when cleaning may begin.
Cleaning crews should receive a released work area and an escalation route for defects or unsafe conditions rather than being asked to work through an uncontrolled construction zone.
05
Set supervision and inspection records
Define crew size by zone, the supervisor-to-area arrangement and the person who accepts completion. Use a room or zone checklist for first pass, snag correction, reinspection and final release.
Record damage observed before cleaning, access restrictions, excluded residue and incomplete builder work so cleaning completion is not confused with construction completion.
- Initial condition record
- Zone checklist
- Snag and reinspection log
- Final employer acceptance
06
Send a handover-ready manpower brief
Provide the Jeddah location, zones, stages, surface types, quantities, shifts, dates and inspection sequence. Confirm transport, equipment, consumables, waste handling, uniforms, PPE, induction and supervision responsibilities.
Crew availability, suitability, mobilisation timing and commercial terms are confirmed only after the complete scope and applicable site requirements are reviewed.
