01
Choose the supervisor model
State whether the person leads one shift, inspects completed areas, works as part of the cleaning team or coordinates several properties. Define the number of workers, floors, zones and shift overlap within the role.
A working supervisor needs a realistic balance between assigned cleaning tasks and time for briefings, inspections, records and issue resolution.
02
Set objective area standards
Provide room or zone checklists, cleaning frequencies and the employer's acceptance criteria. Identify priority areas, complaint-response expectations and the process for rework.
Use observable tasks and condition checks rather than broad statements such as perfect cleanliness or full responsibility.
- Opening briefing
- Area allocation
- Mid-shift inspection
- Rework control
- Final handover
03
Define attendance and relief duties
Clarify who records attendance, lateness, breaks, transfers and absence, and who is authorized to request replacement or relief. State how personal data and timesheets must be handled.
The supervisor should have a named employer or contract contact for staffing decisions that fall outside the supervisor's authority.
04
Control equipment and consumables
State whether the supervisor issues keys, machines, tools, chemicals, linen or consumables and how shortages or defects are logged. Include approved storage, dilution and equipment-isolation procedures where relevant.
Purchasing authority and stock approval should be distinguished from routine issue and inventory reporting.
05
Build escalation and reporting
Define shift reports, inspection results, service exceptions, maintenance defects, damage, lost property and safety incidents. Name the recipient and required response for each category.
Reporting should contain only information necessary for service control and follow the employer's privacy and incident processes.
06
Prepare the supervisor requirement
Provide the Jeddah property, team size, zones, shifts, duties, reporting line, language needs where job-related and mandatory experience. Confirm transport, device, uniform, PPE, training and authority boundaries.
Candidate suitability and availability are confirmed only after the complete role and applicable employer checks are reviewed.
