01
Map the linen flow
Describe collection points, receiving, sorting, washing, drying, finishing, folding, storage and issue. State which stages are included for each role and the trolley or container system used between them.
Separate clean and used-linen routes and identify the handover point with housekeeping, wards, restaurants or external transport as applicable.
02
Define item groups and counts
List the main item categories, expected daily or shift volume, special handling labels and count method. Explain how rejected, stained, damaged or missing items are recorded and who approves rewash or disposal.
Do not combine controlled healthcare linen with routine commercial linen unless the operator has an authorized process and correctly trained roles.
03
Set machine and chemical boundaries
Identify machines that staff may load, operate, unload or clean and the employer authorization required. Provide approved cycles, load limits, lockout rules and the response to an alarm or jam.
Chemical dosing, maintenance and repairs should remain with designated competent personnel unless expressly included through the employer's verified process.
- Permitted equipment
- Approved operating task
- Stop condition
- Maintenance escalation
04
Plan shifts and production handover
State operating hours, collection peaks, room-release deadlines, batch priorities and shift overlap. Include breaks and relief so machines and sorting areas are not left in an unclear state.
Use batch, count or trolley records suited to the operation without recording unnecessary guest or patient information.
05
Control ergonomics and workplace safety
Describe lifting, repetitive handling, heat, moisture, floor condition, moving equipment and storage height. Confirm trolleys, PPE, ventilation, training and housekeeping responsibilities.
The employer should provide the applicable risk controls and an escalation route for leaks, damaged machines or unsafe loads.
06
Send a laundry role request
Provide the Jeddah operation type, item groups, volumes, role quantities, shifts, duration and mandatory experience. Confirm transport, uniform, PPE, machine training, products, meals and supervision responsibilities.
Suitability, authorization and availability are confirmed only after the complete work process and applicable requirements are reviewed.
