01
Define the installation-labour scope
State whether the work covers duct positioning, assembly, jointing, support coordination, fittings, flexible connections or approved accessory installation. Separate fabrication, insulation, testing, balancing, fire stopping and commissioning when another trade or subcontract controls them.
List the duct materials and profile types used at the actual workfront so relevant experience can be reviewed against the task rather than a broad HVAC title.
- Duct and fitting type
- Included installation duties
- Excluded specialist work
- Interface with insulation and MEP trades
02
Issue drawings and released workfronts
Provide the current approved drawing or work instruction, area reference, elevation and sequence controlled by the employer. Note coordination points with ceilings, structure, cable trays, pipework and other services.
A role request should distinguish a released area from a future plan. Productivity and manpower cannot be reviewed accurately when access, supports, materials or preceding work are not ready.
03
Specify fittings, tools and access
Identify who provides hand tools, drills, lifting aids, access towers, scaffolds, mobile platforms and consumables. State any employer authorization required before using powered tools or access equipment.
Describe height, congestion, heat, dust, lifting and nearby-work conditions so induction, protective equipment and supervision match the real site.
04
Set competence and screening criteria
List the ductwork experience, drawing-reading ability, measuring skills and fitting methods needed. If the employer requires a practical trade test, state the task, assessor and acceptance process.
A job title or previous employer name is not a substitute for assignment-specific evidence and an authorized site assessment.
05
Plan crew mix, inspection and handover
Separate duct fitters, helpers, chargehands and supervisors by quantity and workfront. Define who checks support spacing, dimensions, joints, clearances and readiness for the next trade or inspection.
Record incomplete sections, access restrictions, missing materials, protection needs and inspection status at every shift handover.
- Fitters and helpers by area
- Trade supervisor and inspector
- Material and access readiness
- Inspection and next-trade handover
06
Send a workfront-ready request
Provide the Jeddah site, duct scope, crew mix, shifts, duration, target start window, drawings and mandatory experience. Confirm transport, accommodation, tools, access equipment, uniforms, PPE, induction and supervision responsibilities.
Suitability, eligibility, availability and dates are confirmed only after the complete scope and applicable Saudi requirements are reviewed.
